I don’t blame you..I don’t have to wonder if you or I would be receiving the top notch care that the well-heeled/connected do.

Y’all questioned if MDA care would be given to other than well-heeled folks. ...Here’s a story:

Mother of a friend of mine was in a Fort Worth hospital being treated for cancer. After several weeks and no sign of improvement, her husband (a blue collar Texan) went to the hospital on his daily visit. He grabbed an empty wheelchair in the hallway and took it to her room. A nurse caught him putting his wife in the chair and asked what he was doing.

He told her he was taking his wife out of there and she told him that wasn’t allowed. He suggested strongly that she didn’t want to try and stop him! In the hall, the elevator and the hallway to the exit several people tried to stop him. He basically told them to FO and, once out of the door, picked his wife up and carried her to the car.

He drove from Ft. Worth to Houston and carried her into MD Anderson. She was cared for there with no problems and left with cancer in remission. .......My wife and I visited one day a few years later with them and my friend and his wife. That lady was spry and cheerful as could be, and cooked us a couple of wonderful meals.

Bottom line is that if I am ever diagosed with C, I’m also heading from the DFW area to Houston to MDA, if local hospitals don’t offer their successful treatments!
