I am surprised that the NCO in this situation didn’t request the see this major’s commander. In the Marine Corps we have the absolute right to “request mast” all the way to the commanding general if we believe that we have been wronged by our immediate commander. Doesn’t the Air Force have this right
There has to be at least one rational leader in that chain of command..

This was a Basic Training Squadron. There is a rigidly ordered uniformity the Flying Ice Cream Cones must present to impressionable young Airmen.

I feel sure Group and Wing Commanders would not stray far from politically correct Air Force Policy to intervene between the lesbian Squadron Commander and her First Sergeant. There is no "Captain's Mast" in the USAF. Although they play at an Open Door policy, Airmen are told from day one never blind side a Commander. This is only my memory from many years ago.
