He’s breaking the law. There is no ‘open carry’ law in Texas. Is he nuts? Or just trying to get his 15 seconds of ‘fame’.

That dude is an idiot. Not only is he just trying to provoke reaction he’s setting him self up to get shot by a trigger happy cop.
This does nothing to promote responsible gun owners, it harms our cause.
Wear this one though and your greeted with thumbs up and pats on the back....
I’d shop there anyway.
Kinda looks like they got ammo.
..These people are out of touch with reality and their own country.
I told Walmart to take their stinking ammo shelves and remove them from the store. No sense having shelves with nothing in them and it’s been that way for quite some time.
Exercise your rights or lose them....(((ping)))
You can bet there were no pickpockets, muggings etc. while the dude was roaming Wal-Mart.
If he was just walking down the street and was accosted by police, I’d support him. But to deliberately pull a provocative stunt by carrying a rifle into private businesses, where he knew he’d probably be unwelcome, is a douchebag move.
I have no problem with him carrying his rifle but the “cameraman” should get thrown in jail for not rotating the damn phone 90 degrees.
Perhaps it was his intention, but he just helped the anti-gun lobby a lot.
What a complete jerk!
Here is some related activity. An open carry protest over the illegal arrest of a man who said he wanted to take a picture of himself with a rifle in front of the McAllen Police Department:

Someone wandering around in public with a large fire extinguisher is gonna get some strange looks and consternation.
I see that he supports homosexual marriage.
We have open carry of pistols in my state. Those pistols are always HOLSTERED when open carried. I've seen open carry a few times of pistols. It does not alarm me.
You walk into a store that isn't a gun store with a longgun, especially outside of hunting season, I'm going to have my hand on my concealed pistol keeping an eye on you while I and my family or girl make our way to the door. Open carrying long guns in non hunting/target shooting environments get most people's guards up - even mine, and I've been in the 2a movement for 20 years and grew up in North Michigan which is as pro-gun as Texas.
If you want to get the moderates to support constitutional rights (Yes, I know it's a right) so we're not fighting it in court (and possibly losing) all the time, then this is not the way to do it.
