Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) announced Monday evening that he will renounce his Canadian citizenship, less than 24 hours after a newspaper pointed out that the Canadian-born senator likely maintains dual citizenship. I knew this about a month ago while researching Cruz although I didn't bring it up on FR. I wonder if it is the same newspaper that I read where some Ottawa professor said Cruz "is technically" a Canadian citizen.

No, it was the liberal Dallas Morning News that started this **** storm this AM, and Ted put it to rest before dinner.
Good for him.
Nothing against Canada.

that I read where some Ottawa professor said Cruz "is technically" a Canadian citizen. Nothing technical, about it, he is a Canadian Citizen, in Absolute Fact.
