Greg Quinlan of Parents and Friends of ExGays & Gays and the New Jersey Family Policy Council reacts to the news that New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has signed a bill banning reparative therapy for people with same-gender attractions.
Quinlan, Greg (NJ Family First)He's just put himself in every living room and every family conversation to ban therapy that has no basis to be banned, Quinlan tells OneNewsNow. There is no peer-reviewed study saying that this is harmful to youth. During testimony we heard incredible, outright lies about the danger and damage of this therapy, all of it refuted and proven to be false. Regardless, the governor signed the measure that effectively takes away the rights of parents and counselors to provide the help.
According to Quinlan, people can expect that the governor's actions will simply embolden homosexual activists to do more.
So as they've tried in the ultra-Blue states of California and New Jersey, they're doing this in Massachusetts. It's been introduced in New York and Pennsylvania, he notes.
It will be coming to other states - so be on the lookout everyone. It's coming your way: invasion of parental rights and authority to make sure that all objections to homosexual behavior are stopped.
>> Christie said he believes people are born gay
Attributing sexual proclivities to newborns? What a sick #.
Chris Christie has proven several times in the past year that he’s a turncoat and an utter fool. Glad to know it now, rather than later.
That being said, there are plenty of quack therapies and alternative medicines that are perfectly legal, including blatant scientific frauds like homeopathy. Yet we don't see the governor of NJ outlawing homeopathy, which tells me that this isn't about legitimate medicine so much as pandering to political activism.
The disease may not be a sin, but the behavior is.
Why not just ban all other forms of treatment for all mental illnesses? It makes as much sense!
Amazing that Christie in one breath says parents are better at knowing what their children over gvmt when speaking of marijuana.
Then the next breath he says he read the studies and it causes depression and suicide so he will take away parental rights.
Wonder who did the studies? Hmmmm, thinking. Any ideas? *rollingeyes*
“Christie said he believes people are born gay and that homosexuality is not a sin.”
So that gives me the right to be a dictator and take away your rights as parents.
Just become a democrap please
I reposted this Free Republic Posting. It is a must read for this discussion.

So one is forbidden by law in NJ and California to receive psychotherapy to convert oneself from homosexual orientation to heterosexual orientation, but if one desires to receive surgery and chemical therapy to cut off your pecker and have it replaced by a vagina, all options are still on the table?
Also... if one has overwhelming desires to have sex with little baby boys and little baby girls and with small children and with horse and dogs, is one still allowed to seek and receive treatment for these sexual orientations?
Sorry crispy, I don’t recognize your authority to tell me what therapy i may or may not use or support. Go stuff yourself.
If someone straight can later “discover” they are homosexual, why can’t someone who thinks they are homosexual discover they are really straight?
Beware. Christie is actually a progressive liberal in conservative "clothing".
The Churches will be targeted next. Bet on it. There will be no freedom of religion or speech in a neo-leftist country.
So is pedophilia and the practice of bestiality genetic too?
How about toe sucking?
