BRUNSWICK | DeMarquise Elkins, 18, and his mother, Karimah, are the only ones of four family members who will be tried in Marietta beginning Aug. 19 in the March 21 shooting death of 13-month-old Antonio Santiago and wounding of his mother, Sherry West.

So just like for Zimmerman they're granting a change of venuee (OH WAIT!, they didn't grant Zimmerman a change of venue)
Well the Huffpo commenters blamed the gun anyway...
Well everyone knows that black gang members would be hard working, wage earning, choir boys and model citizens if it weren't for the evil guns that seize control of their brains and make the murder and rob people.
Obviously the answer is MORE GUN CONTROL. TO quote any black democrat jackass or for that matter any liberal on any failed government law "We just didn't go far enough."
“if it weren’t for the evil guns that seize control of their brains and make the murder and rob people.”
Exactly. Because people who hear inanimate objects and animals speaking to them and telling them to kill is perfectly normal.
And isn’t it about time Son of Sam gets his record cleared? They were so backwards in the 80s.
The thug had an excuse. He did it for Trayvon Martin — after all the toddler was a white Hispanic. He couldn’t let him grow up and become another George Zimmerman.
He was just providing a late term abortion.
Kill. Them. All.
Kill. Them. All.
A change of venue ain’t gonna help this scumbag.
The whole family is nothing but a bunch of worthless parasites and criminals. The mother, sister and aunt tried to provide him with a false alibi - which didn't work. But they ratted him out quickly enough when they got into trouble. Plus his accomplice also ratted him out. too bad he won't get the death penalty. He handed out a death penalty to the 13 month old child he murdered.
If my memory is correct, George Zimmerman's attorneys did not ask for, nor likely want, a change of venue.
Steet monkey Elkin
This reminds me of some old movie or play that caused quite a stir many years ago. All I remember is the screaming in the press about some bad guy picking up a big rock and hurling it into a baby carriage.
When found guilty, he should be escorted to the sidewalk in front of the courthouse handcuffed to a lamppost and shot in the belly with a .38 caliber revolver. The escorting officers should then stand by (with appropriate shift relief) until he expires; even if it takes days or weeks.
The supremes in their infinitesimal wisdom decreed that no yout under 18 can be given the death penalty.* POS was 17 when he committed the crime, so no death penalty and he'll probably be back out on the street in less than ten years.
*I wonder if the victims of murderers under 17 are less dead than those killed by people over 18?
