WATSONVILLE -- Much to the fanfare of locals, El Salvador's vice president, Salvador Sánchez Cerén, made a stop in Watsonville on Saturday to greet elected officials and residents of Salvadoran descent.
There are an estimated 5,000 people of Salvadoran decent in Santa Cruz County, said Assemblyman Luis Alejo, D-Watsonville. A former mayor, Oscar Rios, is of Salvadoran descent.
"I think it's only natural that the vice president come here to the community to see how we can work and create a great relationship between California and El Salvador in terms of a wide range of issues," Alejo said.
Among the issues discussed were bills introduced by Alejo that would have an impact on immigrants. AB 10 would gradually raise the California minimum wage from $8 per hour to $9.25 per hour in 2016. AB 60 would allow unauthorized immigrants to obtain driver's licenses.

So speaks the former FMLN guerilla murderer who used the Nom de Guerre of Commander Leonel González while fighting for the imposition of Stalinist state in El Salvador.
This terrorist is welcomed by "residents" of Watsonville as if he were a hero, and feted today in Santa Cruz.
How many farmers and political opponents do you have to murder to be a hero in Santa Cruz?

California is so finished. Unfortunately, the rest of the country isn’t all that far behind.
FOR EXAMPLE: Dominican Republic travel brochures reveal it is a playland for US pols and rock stars who frequent its posh resorts---where underage prostitution thrives.
BUT recent travel brochures reveal the corrupt govt provides no safety nets for its impoverished citizenry.
The do-nothing Third World govt relies on the BILLION dollars per year its citizens living here illegally send back home.
Illegals w/ EBT cards send food home that is bought here with our tax dollars. EBT Cash is laundered and sent to relatives in the DR----greedy grocers here give EBT cardholders cash (and take a cut for themselves).

Now tell us how many are here legally.
Did he apply for his Section 8 and EBT card while he was here?
I think they’re presenting it to him in the ceremony at dinner
Always gotta find fault with Stalinists....
While there they gave him a Democrat voting registration card.
