Appearing on Fox News Sunday, Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) said there was room in the Republican Party for people who believe in bigger government like Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, but he argued the Republican Party will grow by attracting more libertarian-leaning voters.
Paul said Christie started the feud by implying there was no room in the Republican Party for libertarian-minded people like Paul. Christie and Paul have been feuding since Christie invoked the 9/11 attacks to brand Paul's libertarian foreign policy as dangerous. Christie has continued to take shots at Paul, a likely 2016 competitor for the Republican presidential nomination, in speeches and comments since those remarks.
"There is room for people who believe in bigger government for our party," Paul said, when asked what he though about his father Ron Paul's comments that Christie "offers nothing" to the party.

Chris Christie has already been annointed as Hillary’s opponent. Based on previous exchanges with Obama, Christi gives cover to Hillary in that he can no longer go after her.
Obama did this to McCain in 2008. Obama with RomneyCare did this to Romney in 2012.
Typical Dem ploy. If the Conservative media had any cajones, they will start labeling Christie as poison to the Republican party.
I am a libertarian. I am fighting for the liberty that our Constitution was meant to provide. Culture is responsible for our morality. If republicans attempt to legislate culture they will violate the Constitution just as much as the liberals are now. Our culture is certainly suffering and that is, in my view, what is killing America. Your implication that I, as a “liberaltarian”, am in any way a liberal is completely specious.
So far Cruz is the only one left on the list of republicans I might vote for.
Rand along with Rubio and Christie have been crossed off my potential POTUS as they are RINOS at heart.
Until the GOP PURGES THE PARTY it will continue to DECLINE. THEY GET NO MORE OF MY MONEY AND I TELL THEM RINOS IS THE REASON@!
“........Paul (R-KY) said there was room in the Republican Party for people who believe in bigger government like Republican New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.......”
No
So when Liberaltarians are in favor of state sanctioned “gay marriage” and slams anyone who disagrees as “Bible thumpers” they are being tolerant?
So, is Christie saying that because he’s in the GOP we need a bigger tent?
I left the Democrat Party years ago and find the Republican Party I thought was conservative and it turns out to be a kind of Democrat Lite.

Big governments are disasters. Just look at history. And anyone who thinks otherwise has a brain filled with mush or no brain at all.
What a dope.
Don’t hold your breath for that.
Yes, he’s running, all right....he just vetoed a gun bill he dreamed up in the first place. Gotta start leaning to the right to fool the base.
Krispie said there's no room for libertarian (leaning Repubs) in the GOP, Rand's saying there's even room for big (gov't) Krispie.
Rand is already campaigning for the presidency, and feels he can’t afford to hem himself in regarding principles, especially conservative principles.

...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.
Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.
Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.
Lets start that conversation by acknowledging we arent going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.
If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...
This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.
Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.
[but he’s not against amnesty, snicker, definition of is is ping]
I’m not going to support any party that welcomes big government types. Been supporting the GOP for decades, and it’s done me no good except cause government to grow bigger and more powerful.
