No one has the, er, guts, to take a stand and say no to democracy! The Egyptian military needs our support BECAUSE in this case, fundamentalist Islamic democracy is periling the world.

We have ingrained the very idea of democracy and elections as perfect things that must be preserved at all costs. Yet people forget the Nazi party--and Adolph Hitler's--rise to preeminence in Germany happened because Germans voted for them!

Lot's of evil regimes have popular support. That doesn't necessarily make them friends of America because some fruitcake or nut wins an election.

Proof?

Kabar said it best in his post about what happened when we deserted the Shah of Iran's military. IMHO, 9/11 thru our current war in Afghanistan is a result of that debacle.

What do you expect would happen to any politician from a party the driveby media hates (Conservatives) if they said they supported the Egyptian military, even though the MB was elected into office? Hint: A headline something like this:

Us older folks remember this. Ford never said that, but it made good copy and assuaged liberal hate against all things Republican.

So, today's headline would be something like:

REPUBLICAN ARE AGAINST DEMOCRACY!

Well said! I actually heard some Fox News people wondering aloud awhile ago....’Is the Egyptian crisis just too hard to cover? Too complicated?’

I almost had a stroke!! It is their jobs to report the various angles and facts to the story. Tells me they either think the American people are too stupid or they are too lazy and or stupid to do their jobs.

It could be a mixture of both...lol.
