A nuke will destroy the dam, but shouldn't kill all that many people, given that it's hundreds of miles away from Egypt's major population centers. The dam busters killed 1600 people while breaching the Ruhr River valley dams. The destruction of Aswan dam with JDAM's would mainly turn out the lights in Egypt, which wouldn't be such a bad thing in a wartime situation. Ultimately, any war started by Egypt should result in Israel's permanent annexation of the Sinai.

I believe the Bible (Isaiah?) says that very thing will happen.
90+ percent of the population of Egypt lives within relatively few miles of the Nile, and the countryside where they live is just a few feet above the Nile water level. Even if they got notice of the impending flood, they’d jam the roads and get nowhere fast, give or take fighting one another to get by first.
