The Movie Reviews
"From Time to Time" Instant Play
With Alex Etel, Timothy Spall, Maggie Smith, Pauline Collins, Eliza Bennett, Rachel Bell, Dominic West, Carice van Houten,
Douglas Booth, Hugh Bonneville
2009, Not Rated but has peril and mild thematic elements, 95 minutes
During WWII, where his dad is missing in action, 13-year-old Tolly (Etel) goes to visit his grandmother (Smith) in their ancestral
home. He becomes interested in his family's history, and he is so enthralled that he actually sees their ghosts and speaks to them,
all the while holding out hope that his father will survive and return. This is a delightful ghost story with a bit of supernatural time
travel thrown in as well. Recommended.
★★★★
"Olympus Has Fallen"
With Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart, Morgan Freeman, Finley Jacobsen, Dylan McDermott, Rick Yune, Angela Bassett, Melissa
Leo, Ashley Judd, Radha Mitchell, Robert Forster, Cole Hauser
2013, Rated R for strong violence and language throughout, 119 minutes
A secret service agent (Butler) gets busted down to the Treasury Department after he saves the President's (Eckhart) life at the
expense of the First Lady's (Judd). But when a fanatical Korean (I know, I know) terrorist successfully storms the White House
and takes the President captive in the deep bunker and command center beneath the structure, Butler returns to save the
President's son (again) and attempts to foil the terrorist plot. It was bloody, infuriating, exciting, and ultimately just plain great.
