A newly declassified CIA history from 20 years ago spills the story about Nevada's Area 51 and its secret mission which was not to study UFOs, but to test the U-2 and other spy planes.
The CIA's story about the legendary test site is contained in "The Central Intelligence Agency and Overhead Reconnaissance: the U-2 and Oxcart Programs." The document was approved for release in June, with just a few remaining redactions, in response to a Freedom of Information request filed by George Washington University's National Security Archive back in 2005.

They were good planes, those U-2s.
I have never seen or believed in UFOs from another world.
“They Live!” - clearly this report has been sanitized. /ultra sarc
They used personal email accounts so no FIAO`s
What about bigfoot, loch ness, and cattle mutilations? Surely, one of these has to be true.
Obviously a CIA ruse to keep us from learning the
truth.

I fully expect Richard Hoagland to chime in to c2c some night soon, and claim this report is simply a fabricated whitewash to hide the fact that they have a few mangled greys floating in tanks along with their wrecked craft, from which they reverse engineered the transistor. But we simply can’t handle the truth as Colonel Jessup would say.

Bigfoot is real. Check the White Hut...

Maybe so, but what do they have to do with ET?
Bigfoot? many fakes so it is hard to figure out.
Loch Ness? I guess we will know if and when it dies.
Cattle mutilations? I guess someone was hungry.
Very clever of them to redesignate the parts of Area 51 that dealt with UFOs as Area 52.
Why on earth do we need U-2 spy planes? Bono is a publicity hound, always in the public eye. Just mention you have a videocamera and he’ll be right there to talk at you. :)
That’s what Area 51 was designed for the in the first place. Even all the tin-foil hat Youtube videos about A51 have confirmed that Groom Lake was picked by the CIA and Air Force test pilots to test U2 spy planes initially.

You mena Kook to Kook.
I admit that I listen, mostly for amusement purposes only.
Actually I hear it as I type, via KLBJ.
By the way, another time for me to hawk DAR.fm.
It is great service that lets you hear any radio program when you want. Kook to Kook is on now, but I have to get Savage and Rush via DAR. I am asleep when they are on.
You can program one program for free, but you need to join with small fee to record what you want. Your computer does not have to be on. Programs are recorded on their server.
I saw something that moved faster than anything I’d ever seen move that fast in the military. Several of them during the same incident. I’ve come to believe that we’d all have on tin foil hats if we knew how far military technology has moved forward.
For all the world, they looked like large gliders. As I discovered later, they were, of course, U-2s.
This was 1957, remember. And they had started training U-2 pilots at Groom Lake only in 1955. Francis Gary Powers wasn't downed and the plane didn't become publicly known until May 1, 1960.
I've always wondered why those U-2s (four of them, as I recall) were there on the apron at Laughlin for us college kids to see in 1957. We were told they were "secret spy planes"...
