Depending on where you live you can sometimes do better than that if you watch sales and combine coupons.
For instance this week Publix Supermarkets (Florida premier grocery store ) has
Mrs Buttersworth syrups 24oz bottles on sale BOGO 3.49 there 1.00 printable coupons on their facebook page 2 bottle for 3.49 - 2.00 (two 1.00 coupons) =2 bottle name brand syrup for 1.49
They also have Ocean Spray juice on sale 2 bottles for 3.15 there were 1.00 off coupons in the paper couple of sundays ago for this 2 bottles for 3.15 - 2.00(two 1.00 off coupons ) now you get two full size bottles of name brand juice for 1.15
I shop like this all the time and have a huge pantry full of stuff I pay little to nothing for
You can get great ideas for sales and coupon match ups at places like
Southern Savers (lots of stores listed)- http://www.southernsavers.com/
Publix - http://www.iheartpublix.com/
Kroger - http://www.iheartkroger.com/
dollar stores - most will take coupons too - http://dollarstoredeals.net/
we travel in the same circles. LOL.
BOGOs at publix are amazing. a good part of my stash came from these sales.
Thanks for the reinforcement. We do have a Krogers somewhat near but it is dirty and the staff not helpful at all. I only have so much free time and I can either spend it on FR and sending articles to friends or look for coupons on-line. Guess which I prefer doing!!!
Even though there is just me and the cat, I have managed to amass enough stuff to feed us and my son’s family for at least three months. In exchange, my son has all the camping and wilderness survival gear so we’re pretty good to go.
Who buys frozen waffles and fake $1.00 a bottle maple syrup, much less feeds it to children. Yikes. How hard is it to put some mix in a bowl with a couple of eggs and water?
My favorite couponing site is www.weusecoupons.com
I’ve been getting a ton of free pens this week. :)
