Bush supported a ban on homosexual marriage in 2004. In July, he was asked about his position on homo-marriage and declined to answer other than saying people should not judge other people’s motives. I didn’t read where he supported homo marriage and called anti-homo marriage people (like me) evil. Maybe you can supply the source.

In 2004 he said supported a ban on homosexual marriage, but I see no evidence he actually supported it. He was fine with pretending to be on the side of an issue, as long as it required no action, and he may have been acting against it behind the scenes.

And your reading of his statement in July is pretty weak. His statement was reminiscent of what Anthony Kennedy said in his Supreme Court ruling. You can read the statement as you see fit, but I don't think it's a stretch to say it was aimed as a criticism of people who are against gay marriage. And it's not much of a stretch past that to think he's for gay marriage.

Also, Bush gave us Chief Justice Roberts, just like his father gave us Justice Souter, except Roberts is 100 worse.

Bush pretended to be pro-life etc., but it’s very apparent he was just pretending. He did the same thing with a partial birth abortion ban. He pretended to be for it, while making sure it never happened.
