No, Cherry Point, Whatcom County. The Longview EIS is just beginning. That terminal is an entirely different situation because it is owned by an Australian Company that also owns the coal leases and has made the Indian tribe, whose land the mines are on, a full partner. In addition, Warren Buffet has bought into the Longview terminal. One other factor is the towns people in Longview, want the terminal because they are used to the coal dust and no one really lives near the terminal, itself. The state has not made up its mind whether to do a comprehensive EIS study on Longview, which would encompass global warming. I am betting that the Longview terminal gets approved, if the Australian coal company is still viable in two years.

The company I used to work for had the hots for Longview. We planned to build storage tanks and a big rail car unloader for heavy oil.
Then, the owner bet the house on crude oil futures and someone saw him coming...
