It seems to be that the military is getting ready to name their new Nassar, Sadat or Mubarak.
Killing a self-selected sample of Muslim Brotherhood supporters in the meantime will only increase the chances for stability when what has to happen finally happens.
It appears that this situation will not resolve itself and that the government will eventually have to ban the Muslim Brotherhood again. This would necessitate throwing thousands of people in jail for their political beliefs.
The Arab Spring has come full circle.
