Mark Levin: I Will Do Everything I Can To Make Sure Christie Is Not The Nominee
Real Clear Politics ^ | Wednesday August 13, 2013

CAVUTO: Why don't you like him?

LEVIN: It's not a matter of like, he is a Gerald Ford Republican. Despite all the huffing and puffing, your home state of New Jersey is still a financial disaster. Is he better than the Democrats that preceded him? Yes. What isn't and who isn't? I'm all for that. But he didn't sign on to challenge Obamacare. Why not? That was a free -- he didn't have to pay a cent to do that. In my view, he is weak on immigration reform, he's an amnesty guy. He's a greeny when it comes to the EPA. He just signed 10 out of 15 gun control laws.

CAVUTO: Well, he cut a millionaires tax and he submits smaller budgets each year.

LEVIN: I bet he's done ten great things, but he hasn't done enough. The point is, if we keep nominating Republicans, moderates from the Northeast, we're going to keep getting our lunch handed to us.

It will not matter one iota who the nominee or winner will be.

Our best hope is to take what we learned from the great experiment and move on.

The red states need to withdraw and form their own nation(s).

They will have morality, food and energy.

Thew will be free of future use of slavery to create a victim industry with which to buy votes.

They will instantly be the wealthiest and thus the most powerful nation(s) on the planet.

Not one liberal can argue against the Christian homophobic, women haters, leaving.

The NYC run nation claims the Red states use more federal monies than the blues.

I think the process calls for primaries first.

You'd think that, but the GOP pretty much just makes rules up as it goes along. Sometimes after the fact when the primary or vote doesn't favor the RINO.

Sorry, but this pig has a snowball's change in hell to be a nominee. I am going by the looks alone.

"The only one left standing who can honestly be said to share most of our conservative principles is Mitt Romney" -- Mark Levin, 2008

That was then, this is now. Oh, wait. I sound like Kerry.

Levin said he’d quit if mccain got the nomination. Of course he backtracked.

Well my point was if conservative Republicans hadn’t participated in a circular firing squad in 08 and 12 McCain and Romney might have not needed to attack the clown because they would have been sitting on their front porches watching the election instead of retreating the Republican party to defeat.

The game is rigged. Conservatives are the solution. The GOPe doesn’t like smaller gov’t. The GOP is DEAD.

Agreed. Crispy has no chance and neither does Rubio. The GOP elite is going to start pushing Jeb. Mark my words.

I don't recall that ever happening.

The problem is that we, as conservatives, are the actual RINOs. We don't fit in with the majority of the Republicans who select the candidate. The majority are a bunch of milquetoast moderates, at best.

Christie won’t be the nominee.

No, he will not be the GOP nominee...

...but I do worry that GOP poseur Mister Christie might already plan to go rogue, and do the Ross Perot spoiler routine. (I still marvel at how many otherwise smart GOPers fell for Perot's poorly veiled sting operation.)

McCaini is a transplant from Virginia. The Bushs all have roots in the Northeast and maintain the Northeast Republican(sic) liberalism. The Republican@ elite are all Norrheast liberals or have adopted their attitudes

To my mind they have lost touch with mainstream Republicans and the ett alAmerican public.

people like Allan West, Sarah Palin, Ted Cruz, et al, scare the crap out of them.

I thought McCain was from Arizona, and Bush 43 was from Texas. One data point (Romney) is hardly much of a pattern.

You also have to wonder why people who found Romney unacceptable and chose not to vote for him against Obama didn't have the same objections to McCain and to Bush, both of whom were as liberal on many issues if not more so.
