You got it right. As one at the tailend of that generation,(1959), I have at times been embaressed by the antics of my generation.
Generations produce consequences.
A lot of our problems today (generationaly speaking) are self inflicted.
“As one at the tailend of that generation,(1959), I have at times been embaressed by the antics of my generation.”
I was too young to have been drafted or volunteer for service in Vietnam. I wasn’t old enough to vote For Carter in ‘76, I voted for Reagan in ‘80, I never participated in any protest or antiwar demonstration in the 60’s or ‘70s, I never saw Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin or Jim Morrison in concert. So why should I consider myself a “Baby Boomer” when I have so little in common with so many of them?
Don’t worry. Now that we Boomers are aging the next generation wants us out of the way and their hands on our money as soon as possible. Self indulgent and indifferent Boomers will see their children turn on them like ravening wolves. “Get dad into the home. I want that BMW 720!!”
