J Street Cancels Poorly Attended Event, Then Covers It Up

J Street attempted to cover up evidence of a failed Boston event on Friday, within minutes of a Washington Free Beacon reporter mocking the group’s inability to draw a crowd on Twitter.

J Street was forced to cancel an event originally scheduled for June 20 in Boston due to a “lack of attendance,” according to the Washington Free Beacon.

After a reporter for the website noted on Twitter that J Street, which bills itself as a top “pro-Israel” group, failed to attract a crowd, evidence of the failed event’s existence was removed from Facebook.

The event had been named, “Drinks and Conversation with Alan Elsner, veteran Reuters wireman and J Street VP.”

The event was to feature “free appetizers and a cash bar,” according to a cached copy of the event, which no longer can be accessed on Facebook.

“Hi everyone. Unfortunately, tonight’s event is cancelled due to lack of attendance,” J Street member Adam Steinberg wrote to the seven disappointed activists who had signed on for the event, according to the Washington Free Beacon. “We look forward to keeping you informed of future events and opportunities in the future.”

I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel here, but I'm not going to post anything about Bibi's hernia.

Apparently, “J Street” is a “Pro-Israel, Pro-Peace” group, which is a phrase that (I suspect) is used as a fig leaf to cover a very hard-left Jewish organization. I’m just guessing here, but I would suspect that this is one of those groups that advocates a whole packet of positions that would lead to the destruction of Israel if they were to be adopted.

There are a number of these groups in Israel, IIRC. I don’t know what they’re called.

Nice to see them failing to even draw a crowd, though.

I have to plead ignorance here. I have an opportunity to learn something. Why is this of significance? Who benefits because this small group did not gather a huge crowd to a meeting that was probably way under advertised?

Is there a rival pro-jewish group out there that is secretly, though loudly gloating about this temporary misfortune? I support the freedom and independence of our Jewish brothers and sisters. This seems pretty ‘inside baseball’ to me on the other side of the country.

Gets harder and harder to have J Street invited to White House occasions, and since they’re an especially despicable front group, it gives me cause to gloat. Other than that, feel free to yawn.

Thanks for clarifying. No, I’m not bored by it, I was only mystified. I have to remember how certain areas of the country are still political power centers. New York, Chicago, Dallas, Washington and Los Angeles (for weird new fads). I think I know a lot of the Washington Machine, and I don’t even know about J street’s significance. Time for an all night Google Slumber Party, just me and my Parakeets.

yes, J Street is a “false flag” operation pretending to support Israel while actually attempting to undermine or weaken her at every possible opportunity. A genuine enemy of Israel.
For some particulars, please see:

and for their funding source, which they lied about for years..... please see:

Re: “I am not even sure why its “news.”

J Street is a high profile, richly funded, and completely bogus “pro-Israel” lobby.

The fact that an al-Reuters journalist is a J Street Vice President tells you just how bogus.

J Street has close ties to the Obama White House and the Democratic Party.

On just about every issue that matters, J Street ultimately sides with Israeli hard left peaceniks, anti-Israeli Europeans, and “moderate” Arabs.

A journ-o-lister who likes to make the news instead of covering it. Shocker.

I checked the bio on “Alan Elsner.”

He is actually a “former” Reuters journalist.

Sorry for not making that clear.

“free appetizers and a cash bar,”

If you want to draw a crowd, a cash bar ain't gonna do it.

Even George Washington knew that when he was giving up whiskey to the voters...

I think you are correct.

The Jewish ComDem’s are a puzzle to me. They must have a death wish. I have been told that they just have no confidence in the market place when they are in a Christian surrounding. I prefer to have faith in God, not in Government.
