I’m surprised Drudge hasn’t picked this up.

Unfortunately, there is truth in some of the facts of their reporting in this case.

They are of course trying to editorialize against the United States suggesting an alliance is about to collapse which may be a bit of a stretch with this story.

But when the United States and its “leaders” like Obama and McCain get it wrong by supporting the Muslim Brotherhood, its enemies like Iran get to publish this kind of story.

Yes it does. But it seems like only yesterday when Bill Clinton was elected thanks to Ross Perot.

We have no alliance with Egypt. We have little in common with then. Oh except both countries have muslim leaders.

I would disagree with this statement. Our military has had a very favorable relationship with the Egyptian military. We also had a pretty good relationship with Mubarak and his government. This relationship involved a good bit of financial aid, but it was a pretty solid relationship that contributed to regional peace and provided some stability in the Middle East/Arab world.

Obama threw that away. He betrayed a man widely viewed as our ally. He betrayed a government of Egypt that respected human rights far more than the MB, upheld their promises and treaties, and assisted us in many instances. He betrayed a government that had kept the peace with it’s neighbors.

Obama supported the Muslim Brotherhood. Obama’s support for this radical Islamic uprising gave them a credibility they had not had before and like dominoes these countries fell to radical Islamist. This administration undid decades of policy (both D and R) in a few short weeks.

There were many avenues to try and positively change internal politics in these nations. Instead, Obama took a sledgehammer to our promises and reversed accepted policy even catching many of our allies flat-footed. Obama stabbed Mubarak in the back and it was noticed by other leaders.

There is VERY LITTLE trust now on the world stage for America because this administration has proven that our word means nothing and we will betray those who stand with us. Half of Egypt already did not like us. We betrayed the half that viewed us more favorably.

Can anyone explain to me how the U.S. is now in a better strategic position because our administration supported the Jihadists? Anyone?

“But it seems like only yesterday when Bill Clinton was elected thanks to Ross Perot.”

Make no mistake, BJ was elected because Bush and his moderate wing (the Ford, Rockefeller, and etc wing) ran away from the conservative ideology and policies of RR faster than you could say “Jack Robinson”.

Their festering disease continues to eat out our substance, but the stock is running low.

You’re right. But because of Perot, Clinton won.

This is crazy. I don’t think of the Egyptians as bosom buddies, but to blow whatever relationship you have (while sending them billions in bribes, er aid) over that MB jerk Morsi is amateur hour bag-over-your-head-unknown-comic/diplomat incompetence.

I think you badly miss the point here...

Obama WANTS the MB to rule Egypt...that was part of his long term plans to make Israel capitulate to the palestinians...Morsi being taken down was not supposed to happen...

Obama doesn't care about "democracy" in Arab countries, he needs leverage by aligning himself with people he can manipulate like Morsi.

The Egyptian Military isn't going to put up with Obama crap...

Obama is sending these two fools (McCain and his butt attachment Graham)because they are from the GOP to apply pressure...to possibly force by the point of a billion dollar gun to put the MB back in power...

Demanding the release of all the MB cold blooded killers is what he wants to create chaos and blood shed so he can blame the military..

You’re right on, Popman.

Obama is an enabler of the coming anti-Christ. Obama is demonically controlled.

If I remember correctly, someone high up in the administration called the MB rise to power inevitable. They invoked this as reasoning to support the new and betray the old.

Now, ironically, they don’t seem to understand that the death of the new leaders is inevitable if the MB rises back to power. Yet, they seem to continue their support for the MB.

We threw away decades of policy and stability for polls, love of the MB, hatred of Israel, or a combination of all of the above. This is a disaster.

Jeepers, upchuck, haven's these guys ever heard of the the Logan Act? McCain is simply over the top, a Washington insider who's been there 'way too long (and is probably not fully compos mentis these days); I don't know what Graham's excuse is. All I can gather is that he finds the presence of a microphone within distance irresistible.

Oh, how I do wish both these two men would just "go away."

You are correct however, we have no alliance with Egypt. What we had was coinciding interests from time to time. Right now the interests of our high level leaders is to strengthen and expand Islam. I used to think it was to win hearts and minds. Now I just think the dims want to destroy us and the west.

I know he does. But there's something I don't understand. The MB is ultra-Sunni. Valeri Jarett was brought up in Iran, the Shiite stronghold. Aside from hating Israel, does Obama favor Sunnis or Shias? After all, if Israel didn't exist, they'd just fight each other. Look at the way the Muslims celebrated the end of Ramadan in Iraq yesterday.

Obama believes all conflict in the ME Muslim world is directly tied to the Jews living in a “Muslim” land...of Palestine....

Shite / Sunni can work it out after the “cancer” of a Jewish State no longer exist....

Interesting update..regarding McCain's Egypt trip

… Recently, McCain personally visited Khairat al-Shater, the multi-millionaire deputy chief of the Brotherhood who is currently incarcerated on charges of treason and terrorism. Interestingly, Shatter was not even a member of Morsi’s government. Why is McCain visiting a civilian? PJ media

Does Jailed Brotherhood leader have goods on Obama?

… In an interview with the Anatolia News Agency, Saad Al-Shater, the son of a Muslim Brotherhood leader, the detained Khairat Al-Shater, said that his father had in his hand evidence that will land the head of United States of America, president Obama, in prison. He stressed that the senior U.S. delegation currently visiting Egypt, knows full well that the fate, future, interests and reputation of their country is in the hands of his father,
