Urban lefties have always despised and envied the suburbs, so they are trying to ruin them.
I thought the plan was to force us all to move to “Walkable cities” where we can be crammed in like sardines and monitored 24 hours a day.
Looks like this is the flip side to that plan or plan b.

Yes - the suburbs are an illustration of reward for individual achievement, and they show that a satisfactory life is possible without government subsidy or coercion - thus they undermine the entire leftist, collectivist, victimization narrative, and must be stamped out.
