Lots of good points there.
By the way Obma is making a survey of whiote neighborhoods with the intention of placing Section 8 I rich neighborhoods. That ought to make things better /s/
Thoughtful and excellent post. Decadence has destroyed every diverse nation and empire.
I had/have Russian family roots that go back to NYC and do not approve of any resulting relatives giving you such a bad time. However, from the tone of your words I take you just do not like Russians besides wanting to take them down a notch or two. I don’t know the character of your Russian ‘friends’ but I do know that Russia has produced some very noteworthy artists, scientists and authors. I myself have had a very excellent education at one of top world universities. With all this said I wouldn’t trade one bit of what the USA has afforded my family for a life in Russia.
It disturbed me so much I quit my gay hairdresser and now go to a woman who is definitely not gay
“In fact, the USA is beginning to show more Bolshevik social and moral characteristics than Russia currently does.”
That’s a fact.
My grandmother and great aunt were two of the best people you could ever meet. Left Russia after the commies took over because they hated commies
I don’t feel safe around them because I know many are really mean selfish bast8rds
With sore bottoms LOL
Sadly, we're embracing all their destructive policies, and 0bozo is putting those policies , especially the homo agenda on steroids.
Shery’s daughter - I have also met some quite rude Russians. I had a really bad experience with one two years ago. He was a young man and a total jerk. And 7 years ago, in my home town, a Russian guy asked me how much I charge - like I was a prostitute!! And I wasn’t dressed in ANY way like a prostitute - I was wearing sweats and was working out. I wanted to punch his lights out among other things. But that being said, I have also had some very good experiences with Russians. I’ve known some Russian women who seemed a little stand-offish at first, but once I got to know them and they got to know me, we really got along well. And I’ve met some Russians who feel they’ve had very bad experiences with Americans for the exact same reasons: rudeness, obnoxious, think they are so much smarter, etc. I’ve experienced that from people from several countries, actually - both here in the U.S. and when I lived overseas. I think some of it might stem from old feelings about what used to be the attitude between Russia and the U.S. People probably still feel a little uncomfortable and a little unsure how to break the ice. But also, I think it’s just cultural. Some cultures have behaviours that might seem rude at first until you get to know them. Others, it’s just part of their culture to portray “manliness” and exaggerate some of those characteristics.
Her name was Raisa. She had a stroke when Gorby got deposed/arrested before Yeltsin became Premier, and I felt badly for her. Probably contributed to her early death. “Uneasy is the head that wears the crown” in those parts. Under Putin it is solidly back to a dictatorship imo.
The irony is stunning that a Communist nation would understand that preserving the value of men and women marrying and producing children makes for demographic survival...”
It’s also stunning that Sylvia can’t do a modicum of research to discover that Russia isn’t communist anymore. Exercise your tiny brain, Sylvia.
“It happened so fast we didnt see it coming.”
Bullshit. This stuff has been coming down the road for 50 years. The so-called conservatives were more interested in worshipping Mammon than protecting their children.
Even their ilk?
Of course there have always been queers around, but this marriage bullshyt, and the acceptance of them is fairly new.
I don’t even want to get into the first influx of Russians we had in the late 70s - the poor Russians! They flooded our NYC hospitals and immediately got on welfare, food stamps and Medicaid.
Wow. You felt sorry for Raisa. That’s weird. She was completely obnoxious on her one tour of the White House. Maybe it can be youtubed.
And let’s not forget the Russian Mafia that is centered in Brooklyn and controls a part of the drug trade.
This is not Russians-Americans, btw. I’m talking about Russian immigrants.
I agree, those Russians should never have been admitted into the USA and most certainly should not be in the USA today without proper papers. I rued the day when such persons were allowed favored treatment for immigration because of political sympathy. Such political patronizing has not been, in my opinion, a plus for the USA be it Russian, Asians or Latinos.
>>>You do know that Russians are now considered the worst tourists abroad? Worse than Americans or Germans or anyone else?<<<
In fact a number of ghetto Russians in places like Turkey, Thailand and Egypt contributes badly to their tourist image.
But the fact that Russian trash are actually interested to travel abroad instead of investing into a $200 Nike shoes and 22-inch rims is something isn’t it?
As for an arrogant nouveau riches in bad suits with bad manners you are talking about they are all the same regardless their nation. Americans in Europe were looking the same way at the time.
