Harry Reid is a Temple Mormon, meaning that he is among the most devout, religious, tested and vetted Mormons, he is actually issued an ID so that he can enter those Temples that are forbidden to ordinary Mormons.
In 1960 when others were asserting courage to break down racial barriers, Reid was joining the Mormons.
