Yup, sad but true. I suppose that someday we will have to vote with our feet and leave our socialist paradise.
Since the goal is a unified socialist global government, where is there to go? The very concept of voting with our feet will be nullified by the reality of the World Citizen and exacerbated by mandated travel permits, exit taxes that escalate to global taxes and forced diversity in the allowed living areas.
The EU is simply part of phase one in erasing national sovereignty. The process is being repeated in the creep toward an North American Union. I’m not aware of what is happening in Asia, but, in another 20 years or so, I’ll bet there are 3 major regional constructs and 10-15 years after that, the push will be for some series of unifying global treaties for those.
I won’t live to see it, but most people under 50-55 will. Eventually, no one will be alive who even remembers the old nation states and the histories will be revised to the point where no one would want them back.
Nationalists of the future will be quaint relics, comparable to today’s monarchists.
