The two teenage victims of the Zanzibar acid attack have arrived back in the UK, as a photo has emerged showing the extent of Kirstie Trup’s injuries.
Five men are being questioned over the Stone Town attack, the head of the local police has confirmed, with officials also confirming a reward of 10million Tanzanian shillings (£4,000) for information that leads to the arrest of the perpetrators.
According to reports, three of the men who were under questioning have subsequently been released while the remaining two are still being interviewed by officers over the attack on charity volunteers Miss Trup and Katie Gee, both 18.

I have a young cousin over in Kenya doing volunteer work. Arrrggg. She is also beautiful. Hope she gets through this and comes home intact. Prayers up for Amanda.
Can I ask why she’s in Kenya? Does it have something to do with getting into a good college?
That is a bone in my craw. I am sick of colleges using community service hours as entrance criteria. That is utter BS. My kids volunteer through our church and private Christian school. Aside from that and academics and sports they don’t have time globe trot.
My kids’ school sponsors mission trips out of country for the senior class. My children are not allowed to go and will have to perform the equivalent tasks domestically.

Yup. It’s a total gimmick. And they send these kids to the worst hellholes on earth - just to get them into some name school. In my day, it was Appalachia which is at least America and subject to its laws.
That is my target location when I argue with folks who go abroad. There is just as much work to do in the US as anywhere else. My kids will not leave this country.
That's the current liberal mindset in the high schools. Send the seniors to these God forsaken countries and wallow in the cesspool with the rest of the inhabitants. I would try my best to talk them out of it and would definitely not allow my kids to go.
Well, in the old days, the rich kids would do the Grand Tour - hanging out in Paris and Florence. I wouldn’t be adverse to that, lol. But third world hellholes? No way.
