I believe Yeats’ poem is what it looks like when a civilization begins to collapse. The evil of the age is different but always inspired by the same father. Things fall apart, the center cannot hold.

Yeats is one of my favorite poets.

I always liked that Yeats poem, but never quite "got" what it meant. Thanks for the interpretation. Makes sense.
