He couldn’t have been worse than.....could he? Anyway, just like Mrs Thatcher performed a spine transplant on GH Bush before the first Gulf war, VP Sarah Palin would have had to perform a cerbral transplant on JMC. Either that or put poison in his soup..., :-)

I wish; John McCain's entire history in politics has been one of being a maverick. The most likely scenario is that the more that Palin pushed, the harder McCain would have worked to promote the liberal cause. Mind you, he would have a Democrat House and Senate to work with; it would have been the 'golden age' of 'non-partisanship'. And probably kept the house in liberal control, possibly even up to this day. Though on the plus side, Palin likely would have been replaced by Graham in the 2012 re-election race. Plus as in it would have gotten Graham out of the senate, and unbundled Palin from McCain.
