Thank God he lived...

It’s amazing how fragile our bodies are, yet the amount of punishment they can take.

My Dad suffered a heart attack in his early forties, then a paralyzing stroke (I was 7 or 8). He lived like that for 9 years, then another stroke killed him. He was 54 when he died.

He survived combat wounds in The Bulge and in Germany, but health eventually took him out...31 years later. He was all scarred up from shell splinters and the bullet wound.
