Many have not, and many will not.

I realize that is a viewpoint, and it can be supported from other Biblical verses.
But it contradicts Romans 11.
The Church (RCC, plus some Protestants) have recognized and now teach this.
This also is consistent with our understanding of the nature of God (indeed, this may be the most important part of it all, that God is not a liar and that He keeps his word, etc...)

At any event, that’s what I can contribute.
