U.S. Army Private First Class Bradley Mannings maximum prison sentence of 136 years was reduced to a maximum sentence of 90 years behind bars. Judge Denise Lind, an Army colonel, announced Mannings reduced sentence during a closed session at Ft. Meade, Md., on Tuesday. Lind agreed in part to a motion proposed by the defense to merge various charges against Manning. She merged two Espionage specifications for transmission of the Iraq and Afghan SigActs, the theft and transmission of the Guantanamo Bay Detainee Assessment Briefs (DABs),

90 years sounds about right to me.
bump
In the meantime, Edward Snowden: “That ain’t bad, travel agentski, book a flight for me to Washington D.C., pazhowsta!”
I heard only the first 85 are hard.
He will be out in 15 at the most. Obama will assure that.
That’s what I’m afraid of, I could go along with a reduced sentence of say 75 years if he’s really, really good.
Ninety years. Is this with pay and benefits?
Regardless, this little fagot will suffer his decision.
Actually, I would have added one little stipulation into this. He should not be allowed any internet or gaming options for the entire 90 years. Allow him access to books and to chess boards....other than that? Nothing.
I seriously doubt that he makes it more than five years in prison. He doesn’t have any real ability to survive in the real world and this will be awful frustrating for him to get up each day and realize there’s nothing to look forward to.
I have not studied this case at all.
If this guy compromised the safety of agents in the field then this sentence is not too harsh. The death penalty would not be too harsh for such a crime.
If agents were put in harms way by Manning’s actions then an example must be made of him.
“90 years sounds about right to me.”
I disagree. More than 1 day of feeding this scumbag with taxpayer food is a waste.
My hunch is that he was groomed and sent in by Assange. So was Snowden, imo.
He hasn’t been sentenced yet, this is just saying that the maximum he now faces is 90yrs not 136.
I wonder if he’ll be the first “open gay” jailbird in a military prison. If so, Barry’s regime can chalk up yet another historical first.
He will be out in 85 years with good behavior
He’s gonna be the ‘Belle of the Ball.’
From what I have read about the Snowden case I am grateful for his actions. He has let the average Joe know that the gov is snooping on him in violation of the 4th amendment.
People with their ear to the ground (geeks, freeps..etc) have figured this was true for years now.
If new evidence comes out that proves Snowden has by his actions compromised lives then I will be as harsh on him as I am on Manning. The trouble is how do you trust what the gov says about the case since the constitution is just an old and irrelevant piece of paper to them?
Who recommended him for a clearance? Who was his supervisor?
