People have been leaving all behind and taking a chance on better conditions for hundreds of years, including those who braved an ocean crossing at a time when circumnavigation was a very iffy thing. Do your "ANIMALS" include those who are hopelessly trapped?
All those "God fearing good people" should be taking a chance, and leaving that God forsaken city.
I have to agree with SoldierDad. Our ancestors took great risks to come here and we preserved the right to travel freely among the states (9th?).
Maybe the blacks will make the (absurd) argument that they were brought here against their will, so have no obligation to look, to make an effort for better lives.
But they aren’t `trapped.’ Many black people emigrated from the American South to places like Chicago and Detroit for the jobs after WWII.
They could have their gooberment `paychecks’ forwarded to a new address. That apartment complex appears to be a Section VIII `safety net’ (maybe not) for the immigrants who just can’t seem to get with the whole American Dream thing after hundreds of years.
The more I think about, I’m fed up with Black History Month, Black this and that, and whatnot. And tired of trying to understand the `Black Experience.’
Here’s hoping they stay in the urban he!!-holes they helped create. Those of us just trying to get along don’t need their drama, crime and BS.
Oh yeah, and FUBO!
I agree. Bankrupt is of good people, also.

I say this as my daughter is in Detroit now on a 2-day job assignment and will not rest until she returns home on Wed night.
Many of the remaining survivors are the elderly and retired who never experienced living in your presumed perfect world.........How do they move? Where do they go? More importantly, how do they sell their houses?
Just keep in mind bro that it's likely people like them were the ones doing the trash jobs that you and your college educated homies wouldn't have thought about doing.........In other words, you'd have had to clean your own urinals.
