Race, I hate to say it, but I think this is the reason. The man has made it abundantly clear for the last six years that he thinks we can have peace by refusing to fight. Since our enemies don't think like that, his only choice is to cower in fear.
What should we expect from a clique that allowed an American Ambassador and his entourage to be undefended and murdered and then lied to try to cover up that terrorists did it? The terrorists know exactly what they are dealing with. It's we Americans who are too stupid to figure it out.
But we are militarily involved in many countries in Africa and much of the ME.We are involved in little wars all over the world and preparing to get into even more.
