Hoarder? sounds like he’s a paranoid schizophrenic.
Cops and prosecution folks may like using the term hoarder because you avoid all that mental-health mumbo-jumbo. But yeah, he’s absolutely a paranoid schizophrenic.
After you sit down...analyze the characteristics of the problem....you come to a belief that probably ten percent of society is either mildly schizophrenic or deeply schizophrenic.
But the problem in this case is that you could have identified the guy five years ago with this condition, and done nothing about it because of the general legal structure that we operate under. He has to wound or kill someone....before the legal system will do anything about the idiot.
