These folks have been around for a while.
Even more interesting was a group that recruited scientists to implement full extermination of the human species by means of a nanovirus. The reward would be survival for themselves and a kadre of selects. The recruitment ran for rougly a year, after they announced they had what they needeed - and disappeared. I figure it was some social experiment.
