My theory is that the Assad regime worked with the Russians and stored/buried the WMD’s and guarded them closely.

When the Libyan rebels started to overthrown Assad, Obama’s CIA let it be known that they would “pay” (cash or arms) for the WMD’s to be delivered to them, no questions asked.

Benghazi was the transfer point. That is why there were so many CIA operatives there. many specialists to handle the 20+ year old WMD’s.

Who knows how the deal went down or why it went bad. If it was just a simple arms smuggling operation, why would Amb. Stevens be there and not in the official embassy? Simple — he was to meet with a high-up in the rebel operation and either seal or extend the deal.

VIP’s only show up for high value transactions and then only for the signing. The rebel leaders probably wanted to see Stevens to prove that there were no tricks and that the deal was sanctioned by Obama. Otherwise, it could just be a “Blackwater-style” ruse.

I am just guessing.
