Defund then repeal this sophomoric evil legislation that will finish off this nation and at the same time finish off the senior citizens. The only underclass of Americans this will benefit will be the illegals and the loafing minorities.

With scandal upon scandal piling up as proof that this phony mystery man in the White Hut is incapable of governing a kennel, let alone a once great nation, it's an opportunity to dethrone this imbecile and slash the bureaucracy including the bloated staffs of this incompetent one party Congress.

I thought there was a non-severability clause in Obamacare, and that if one part of it is repealed, the entire law is repealed.

Of course, the law as written means nothing...

Obama Solves Health Care Problem for Lawmakers, Staff (Updated)

Updated: 10:41 p.m. August 1, 2013 |

Just a day after President Barack Obama told Senate Democrats he had personally engaged in the issue of his signature health care law’s effect on lawmakers and their staff, it appears there’s a solution.

Word began circulating around Capitol Hill that the Office of Personnel Management would soon issue guidance to address the way the health care law’s exchanges affect members of Congress and those employed in their offices. Senate aides initially declined to discuss the matter, but Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid confirmed the existence of a deal to CQ Roll Call leaving the Capitol late Thursday — and a White House official confirmed details of the plan later Thursday evening.

Basically, OPM needed to determine that the federal government could help pay the cost of premiums on the exchanges for Congressional employees.

“I’m glad it’s done,” the Nevada Democrat said, directing a request for details to the White House.

A White House official confirmed to CQ Roll Call that OPM will issue the new regulation next week, and in turn lawmakers and aides will not be eligible for the law’s tax credits and subsidies to buy insurance.

During a meeting in the Capitol Wednesday with the Senate Democratic caucus, Obama said that he would personally step in to work on the issue before the health care law’s requirement that those on Capitol Hill get insurance through the exchanges. Obama’s comments were first reported by Politico and later confirmed by CQ Roll Call.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., released a statement Thursday night reiterating that staff and lawmakers must sign up for the exchanges. “Members of Congress and their staffs must enroll in health marketplaces as the Affordable Care Act requires.

“As we continue our work to ensure the smooth implementation of this law and look forward to the start of enrollment on October 1st, we will continue our efforts this August to educate consumers on the law’s provisions and tout the critical benefits already in place for millions of Americans,” she said, with no mention of the deal that OPM is set to announce.

Misery LOVES company, you rat-bastages! Congress passed it, and by goodness, they’d damn well better have to live with it.

Thanks to Obama-Care, I lost my “gold plated” plan, which is going to wind up costing me about an additional $4000 this year (I’ve got a major surgery coming up).

You hear about “unintended consequences,” but in this case, even though we only knew little bits and pieces of Obama-Care before SanFranNan bothered to look at it (after having passed it), it was obvious from the very beginning that it was going to be a disaster, designed from the start to bring chaos to the system, in order to collapse it - allowing people to cry to the government, “come and save me! Give me government run health care!”

From the very beginning, I said, “if you want to see what government run health care looks like, take a close look at the VA system.” It’s a disaster!

If any one caught the testimony of a Ms. McMahon, a deputy sec. in the Treasury Dept.,( (aired on C-Span at 4:00 AM Wed.) in front of Chairman Issa’s committee these reports wouldn’t surprise you. She did not give one cogent answer to the ample evidence that the IRS is putting in place anything Obama wants, with no basis in the law Congress passed.

They could begin the process of eliminating all critics of ObamaCare from access to physicians and hospitals, and Congress would apparently whine a little but would let it be implemented. That hearing made it clear that we no longer live in a free country, in case the gullible still want to believe that.
