Question! If he gets what he is asking or even a smaller amount, who pays him and his lawyers? I’d bet the money would come from the tax payers. I am a firm believer that in these kind of cases penalties are completely/entirely on the offender to/for whatever can be awarded and taken from the offender. The people who pay taxes should not be gouged for one penny. Of course a clever/shyster lawyer will argue it was the ‘system’ that allowed the wrong to be done and it is the ‘system’ that must pay for the wrong act. That is socitial baloney.

Ideally, you’re right, if she is just a bad apple who put one over on her otherwise fair and just bosses. Even then, if her bosses didn’t weed someone like her out, why shouldn’t they be held accountable? The people who elected them, the same ones who pay for it all, should lose out monetarily! Next time they (we) will know to elect more competent people.
