We can give billions to Egypt, but food stamps get cut?

Republicans must be ready to retire. I know that fundamentally I am opposed to government handouts, but this is not going to go well with people already struggling with the economy, jobs, and the doubling in the price of food.

(getting ready for the flames)

Most of this program is abuse. I bet it’s well over 50%. In the old days they had to use coupons and could only buy non-prepared food.

Now they give them the equivalent of cash with an EBT card which are being taken for almost anything.

There was recently an article about people in larger cities using food purchased with their food stamps and sending large barrels of food back to relatives in countries like Cuba, Haiti, Mexico and many others.

I would say after reading those articles that maybe food stamps need to be cut. Nothing to do with Republicans making a bad decision. I think taxpayers are fed up with this crap.

It slips my memory (dang age)right now, but what is the figure in dollars of food stamps that is estimated that is being sent overseas?

And what is the cost of advertising and food stamps being sent to Mexico now?

Maybe if we put a clamp down on (heaven forbid) by prosecuting the low lifes selling these overseas and quit the insane advertising in MEXICO we would only have to cut 35 billion.
