This may be hard for many to believe, but I am a Hillsdale graduate and my freshman year I had a black room mate. An excellent person I might add, who graduated and is a professional.
And I am offended by these profiling fascists who wish nothing but to harm the home of conservative theory and Austrian econiomics, and by any means they can.
Some words, even if used in the correct context, and the etymology has no history connected with the possible offensive word that it may or may not sound like, can highlight the ignorance and/or lack of discipline of certain people to properly learn the word itself.
It is a sad day that people in today's world would rather use their skin color, race, gender, disorder, etc. to define themselves, rather than their intelligence, moral fortitude, work ethic, and/or "content of character" (thank you, Dr. King).
BTW, the "Dark Ones" refer to the Irish people who are actually seals. Officially, called Selkies, but called 'dark ones' when born with dark hair and darker skin than the more dominant fair Irish skin and hair...
