(CNN) The feuding between Republicans Chris Christie and Rand Paul continued Tuesday as the senator from Kentucky cautioned the governor from New Jersey was picking a fight with the wrong guy.
In an interview on CNN's "The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer," Paul defended himself against Christie's most recent allegations that the senator was bringing home too much money for his state.
"This is the king of bacon talking about bacon," Paul said about Christie. Both are considered potential 2016 contenders for the Republican presidential nomination.
Earlier in the day, the outspoken governor chastised Kentucky for taking more federal money than New Jersey, saying the Blue Grass state gets back $1.51 on every dollar it sends to Washington, while the Garden State receives 61 cents.

Re: I guess hes popular here because people think the right to own a home is more important.
So without Christie nobody will be able to own a home? How did we get by before he came along? Your hyperbole regarding the fat ass is laughable.
If you don’t live here, your opinion of Christie is meaningless (and probably ill-informed). People were losing their homes because their property taxes were going up $800 per year; he ended that with a property tax cap. It is difficult to buy a home here; that is why so few people do. Our next generation of American taxpayers is leaving for greener pastures elsewhere.
I’m an NRA member, and my mailings don’t even mention Christie.
He is a RINO. I do not care what he did for housing in NJ.
If he does not understand the US Constitution in regards to the 2A, he is not fit for any public office. Period.
And if you believe he is fit for public office, that only goes to show you love RINO’s.
This may be a ploy to get Mitch through the primary. Mitch will come out and attack Christie.
To me it’s obvious why Christie is on paul for his NSA stance...NJ was highly affected by 9/11 as you too have pointed out.

I would agree with such surveillance if it was actually protecting us rather than strengthening the shackles; those Boston Marathon bombers didn’t have any problems (even after the same government was warned about the older one). I like Christie’s positions on abortion and taxes, and while he isn’t perfect he is the best we can hope for in NJ. As I’ve posted many times, he has all the right enemies.
Boston hasn’t been the only threat; surveillance has stopped other attacks. Cutting back on techniques that have worked will encourage terrorists to try harder. And I fully understand why that concerns NJ.
That’s hilarious!
