A major faction of the Palestine Liberation Organization rejected new peace talks with Israel just hours before their scheduled resumption in Washington on Monday after a three-year break.

The leftist Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine said that talks’ resumption was a unilateral move by Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas, which did not have the backing of the PLO as a whole. …

Hamas doesn’t support them, either. The whole thing is a joke, a show. There is no negotiating partner who can make and enforce concessions for the Pali side. For that matter, there really isn’t even a unified Pali government.

All they exist for is for Western leaders to make their case for winning a Nobel Peace Prize.

I’m shocked.
The Muslims have always been so committed to peace.

Gee, and I thought they already gave Barry the Peace Prize for achieving peace in our time? (Gosh, where have I heard that phrase before?)

Most recently, that phrase appeared in Obama’s second inaugural speech.

Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) is a Palestinian Marxist-Leninist and revolutionary leftist organization founded in 1967.

It has consistently been the second-largest of the groups forming the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), the largest being Fatah. Currently the PFLP is boycotting participation in the executive committee of the PLO.

"The PFLP's armed wing, in the West Bank and Gaza, the Abu Ali Mustapha Brigades, draws much of its support from student organizations in universities like Al-Quds University (eastern Jerusalem), Bir Zeit University (Ramallah area), An-Najah National University (Nablus), and the Arab American University - Jenin. The movement has thousands of active or passive activists in the West Bank, and a few hundred behind bars in Israeli prisons. In December 2009, around 70,000 supporters demonstrated in Gaza to celebrate the PFLP's 42nd anniversary.[18] The PFLP's leader in Gaza is Rabah Muhanna.[19]"

A negotiated peace seldom works.

Real lasting peace occurs when one side decisively defeats the other.

Imagine that. Funny, the administration bitches and whines about the Egyptian military, but expects Israel to negotiate with a "government" that doesn't control it's territory, and held it's last Presidential election, 4 year term, in 2005. If a future government turns it's back on whatever is negotiated as illegitimate, Hamas has already made that clear, can't say I'd disagree. But it's important to the administration, ours, that Israel does the dance.
