Human trafficking for prostitution is high up on my "perps should be castrated and lynched" list. There are few activities more sleazy than enslaving people for your own financial gain, and the abuse (mental and physical) of these women is unforgivable.

The Reno operation was one of 76 held by the FBI over the past three days, called “Operation Cross Country.” The FBI arrested 150 people and recovered 105 children who were being forced to work as prostitutes. On Friday at 11:30 p.m., they found a 14-year-old girl from Sacramento who was being sexually exploited. They arrested two people from Carmichael, Calif., who were with the girl on sex trafficking charges.

76 cities... 230 law enforcement units... and only 150 arrests? Only 2 arrests per city, and it took 3 units for each arrest? 4 children in every 3 whole cities?

I'm glad they're getting attention and probably help (although it is quite likely they'll be back to the "trade" in no time), but I'm not sure I'd be bragging about the production numbers in this way, if I were the LEO in charge of the PR on this one.

I wasn’t always this cynical, but I am now, and just because the media reports something that the government (or Wall st or the corporate world) says, is not something I necessarily and enthusiastically accept as the truth.

For instance a bi-partisan government that for over 35 years has not enforced existing immigration law is a big part of this problem, and they still refuse to admit it. The elites that push for immigration amnesty do not want it tainted by reality and truth. Propaganda and misinformation now runs rampant here just like in the Soviet Union.
