Peoples. He is saying that humans have sexual orientations. Probably every human. S he is saying that once they have devoted themselves to priestly service, and give up all sex, what difference does it make if they have straight or gay orientations? It’s like owning a computer with no electricity or batteries.

I could care less what this Pope says about sodomites. The Catholic Church is not changing it’s position on homosexuality. Every human being is called to receive a gift of divine sonship, to become a child of God by grace. However, to receive this gift, we must reject sin, including homosexual behavior—that is, acts intended to arouse or stimulate a sexual response regarding a person of the same sex. The Catholic Church teaches that such acts are always violations of divine and natural law.

But plain and simple John Paul II said a man with strong homosexual tendencies should be denied admittance into the priesthood. That sounds good on the surface but homosexuals lie like hell to get what they want. They also can not be trusted around young men. That is fact. But once again they lie when asked about their sexuality. How does the Church keep them out? They can’t. But the Church could damn sure kick them out of the priesthood when they molest someone. The same thing can be said of school teachers, firemen, cops, etc. Fire these perverts instead of giving them their job back because their immoral desires will never go away and they will eventually do the same thing again. That is the nature of the beast called sodomy.
Thanks their master Satan.
