Mandeville, LA Its news from New Jersey and Colorado, proposed legislation regarding zero tolerance policies, and more, this week on Tom Gresham's Gun Talk® Radio, the original nationally-syndicated radio talk show about guns and the shooting sports.
Congressman Steve Stockman (TX) stops by to discuss his recently introduced bill, H.R. 2625, the Student Protection Act. Says Stockman, Too often so-called zero tolerance policies are being abused by school authorities to punish children for innocent play or, worse, try to indoctrinate them to be terrified of anything even shaped like a gun. Instead of nurturing young minds these policies are traumatizing children who did nothing wrong or instilling in them irrational fears. Attorney Even Nappen (http://www.evannappen.com/) drops in with news about his latest win: He was granted a hearing in front of the New Jersey Supreme Court in regards to his clients Second Amendment rights, (the last Second Amendment hearing in New Jerseys Supreme Court was 45 years ago). Read about the case here: http://bit.ly/1bn2aBY.
Shults Media Relations, a PR agency out of Colorado (http://www.smrpr.com/), deals with many firearms and shooting sports clients. Owner Jim Shults recently sent out a different type of press release, detailing his recent experience with local law enforcement over a permit request to discharge his BB gun in his Grand Junction, CO, neighborhood in a quest to rid the area of some doves. The request was denied, which Shults didnt protest. It was when the Chief of Police sent copies of his denial letter to the Deputy Chief of Police, Grand Junctions police Patrol Commanders and the citys 911 Center, that Shults started questioning the process and protested what he thinks is flagging. Read more here http://bit.ly/11haYTq, and tune in Sunday to hear what Shults is doing to prevent this from happening in the future.
Also on this week, National Shooting Sports Foundations counsel Larry Keane, who drops in with more info on the lawsuit filed by NSSF against the lawmakers who passed a gun-control bill in April, including Governor Malloy. Pow!!
Wow, I called a couple of times right after the show started and got busies, then BOOM. Ring ring, and I’m on in about 10 minutes.
Watch out for those salt shaker 00BKs ;)
Howdy, mylife. Thanks for the Ping.
I like it when Tom does Conservative politics.
Woot! we are all ears.LOL
Heya
Toms going squishy over rhis latest shooting ut I am agreement with him.
Well, like I told my old pal Tom, I have some 12ga shells that are leaking what appears to be grayish salt grains. Green-box 00 Buck, not some cheesey target stuff, front-line home defense ammo. IMHO?
I’m gonna fire up a candle and see if I can seal the business ends of them, see if I can fix them. Clogged my old Mossy 500 up like sand. That was a surprise when I pulled her out yesterday and she would not cycle shells reliably.
That’s Number 1, I can’t have her pulling stunts on me like that. Not at leisure, and eckspecially not under stress.
CA DOJ visited me 9pm Thursday night.

I’m in California and 3 agents (in tactical attire) from DOJ knocked on my door looking to take guns owned by my son, who recently got a restraining order in his divorce. He doesn’t live with me but gets mail here.
As soon as he got his restraining order, I transferred all his guns into my name on official DOJ forms.
Long story short, CA has gun registration and I had all my papers in order.
CA has recently appropriated $millions to hunt down people who have become prohibited gun owners.
At some point for some reason, registration will lead to confiscation.
100%.
buffered shot?
smart move on your part
Jay Rambo on the line.
I need wax or something. I do have a heat gun, maybe I’ll use that with the wax from a candle.
That freaked me right out. That scatter gun has always been reliable, when it jammed up and wouldn’t turn shells loose from the mag, I knew something was jacked up.
The breech looked like somebody poured salt in there. And the action worked about as well as if they had.
Nossuh, I cleaned it all out and then I found the culprit. Green shotgun shells that are like a salt shaker when you turn ‘em upside down.
Creepy. Not good.
I’m in.
