I remember typing Dan Rather into the search box during the “fake but accurate” debacle way back when and old dan was a pile of ashes. Zip, zero, nada. Guess the mods are trying to save server space.
I do believe that really old posts and threads fall off the site’s posting history to make room for the newer stuff and for the sake of speed.
I tried paging back to my earliest posts, but they no longer go back that far. It’s approaching 13 years, so I shouldn’t expect my entire history to still be saved here.
