If the people of a country want Sharia law, they can have it if that is the majority opinion. Since it could never happen here, I am not concerned.

What if a local government wants Sharia law...say, in Dearborn, Michigan?

They can want whatever they want. They just can’t have it under our judicial system.

Some sects of orthodox Judaism would probably want a judicial system based on Jewish law, but they just can’t have it. They use it for matters outside of the jurisdiction of the American judicial system.
