INDIANAPOLIS Wheres the best place to market marijuana to people already buzzing from alcohol?
At a NASCAR race, of course.
The pro-marijuana advocacy group has a video billboard promoting marijuana as an alcohol alternative. That ad which boasts Marijuana: Less harmful than alcohol and time to treat it that way" is being shown outside the grounds of Indianapolis Motor Speedway the next three days as the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series takes to the track for Sundays Brickyard 400.

Those fans that are indecisive are free to choose both...
NASCAR fans are beer and hard liquor drinkers. The marijuana group would be better off advertising at the ultimate frisbee or disc golf championships.
“NASCAR and track officials weren’t exactly welcoming the ads on the brink of one of the sports biggest events”
Seems like NASCAR is forgetting the roots of auto racing. Surely NASCAR is aware that the early races were by drivers whose real jobs were running moonshine.
Pot growing is the South’s biggest cash crop, and surely there’s a NASCAR fan or two in the trade.
>>NASCAR and track officials weren’t exactly welcoming the ads on the brink of one of the sports biggest eventsthe Brickyard 400, whose title sponsor this year is Crown Royal.
I think that’s the point. They want to expose the hypocrisy since it was the alcohol and tobacco industry that lobbied to make pot illegal in the first place. Now, we can’t have the Winston Cup because of limitations on tobacco advertising, but we can have an alcohol company sponsoring a CAR RACE.
Tobacco may kill you one day, but alcohol destroys lives and families and leaves you alive to suffer for a lifetime.
This is a hybrid. This is a cross, ah, of Bluegrass, Kentucky Bluegrass, Featherbed Bent, and Northern California Sensemilia. The amazing stuff about this is, that you can play 36 holes on it in the afternoon, take it home and just get stoned to the bejeezus-belt that night on this stuff.

Most NASCAR fans were pot smokers (experimenters, not full-blown potheads) in high school and the only reason they aren’t now is that 1) it is illegal, and 2) EMPLOYER PISS TESTING (they like to receive a paycheck).
So typical.
Drive tobacco out, push dope in.
Last week, the FOX Sports NASCAR page was pimping homosexuality and asking its readers, “Is NASCAR Ready For A Gay Driver.” It’s pretty sick. The commie libs are trying to turn everything into a freak show. It’s that “fundamental transformation” BS I guess.
And 3 they grew the hell up.
>>And 3 they grew the hell up.
And started slamming back a 6-pack or two every weekend??
I wouldn’t expect too many Nascar fans interested in joining the ranks of hippie, gun-grabbing, Obama-voting, degenerate, dopehead scum.
I don’t know I don’t drink.
Some of us are actually strong enough to cope with reality all by ourselves.

Me too. I have never smoked pot (even in high school) and I have never been a drinker. I’ve had a total of 5 beers in my entire 50 year life and am not starting now.
But, I hate hypocrisy and I’ve seen the destruction caused by alcohol time and time again by alcohol, so I hate alcohol and just dislike pot.
I also attend NASCAR races, and there is nothing more disgusting than some shirtless drunk redneck screaming “June-YERRR” once per lap. I would much rather sit in the pothead section (if there was one) where everyone just sits and says a quiet “duuuuuuuude” every lap.
The last thing I need to hear about is hypocrisy from the pro drug crowd. Not treating it like tobacco was in NASCAR is nothing but hypocrisy.
If Tobacco can be erased.....

I like to see facts show up now and then. It amazes me the feral government, which loves free money as much as power, hasn't legalized pot, taxed it, and put all those fighting forces from the vaunted "War on Drugs" to work gathering free tax dollars.
Alcohol is the reason NASCAR exists.
Well, I doubt many NASCAR fans will want to trade in their beer for pot. But, never fear... if the marijuana won’t fuel many NASCAR fans, it may still be able to fuel NASCAR cars...
