Agreed. But, I sense some irrational exuberance on this board over the events in Egypt. What's coming is not going to be pretty or glorious.
The Islamist tide has risen higher than it ever has. The feckless policy of every American President since Reagan has enabled this.
Perhaps lessons have been learned. I wish I could be hopeful.
Admittedly I’m no expert on Egypt but it seems conditions have deteriorated since the Obama adminstration collaborated in the overthrow of Mubarak.
Mubarak knew full well what the MB was capable of- now anyone can see it (unless you’re the guardian or some at bbc). I don’t know if there’s a pro EGYPT leader lurking anywhere- like a banner I read- Not Christian, Not Muslim, EGYPTIAN..
