You didn't enlighten Ronald Reagan with this tidbit of knowledge back in March 30, 1981?

You had until January 20, 1989 to do so.

Reagan was hit with a ricochet from a short barrelled .22 revolver, an RG-14, as I recall. Even so, he almost died. It was a close thing. I do not know how long it took them to get to the hospital, but it was not very long.

Almost is not a certainty.

Clearly, there is also quite a bit of difference based on the size of the animal and the exact bullet trajectory.

While I have heard of several grizzley bears killed with a .22, I have only heard of one elephant that was killed with this caliber.
