The Consultants Who Brought Us President Romney & The GOP Senate Majority Oppose Obamacare Defunding

Polling suggests Republicans drawing a line in the sand over Obamacare funding in the continuing resolution would be unpopular with the American public. Instead of trying to find a way to convince the American public this is the right thing to do, the Republican consultant class wants to run rapidly away from the idea.

They have convinced Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell and Speaker John Boehner that the GOP must not allow the Democrats to shut down the government by the GOP refusing to fund Obamacare.

It is important to note that the same Republican consultants who oppose a strategy of refusing to defund Obamacare are the very same Republican consultants who worked for years to sell the American public President Romney and worked tireless for the present Senate Republican Majority.

Oh . . . wait.

Perhaps instead of sticking polling up the rear end of Republicans and controlling them the same way Kevin Clash controlled Elmo, we should instead detach the strings and let conservatism go forth selling principle to the American public.

Perhaps instead of listening to the same GOP consultants who spent a billion dollars for the status quo in 2012 convinced that Mitt Romney was the best we could do, we should instead start ignoring them.

I’ve said this hundreds of times here, the republican leadership wants the healthcare bill and helped move it through congress.

They do not cave, they want the same tings the fascist democrats want for America.....

So deal with it the best you can until you are willing to do something to change it.

God send us a leader.

Exactly. Hell, it's their plan, circa 1994.

Primaries, people! Do not give up; do not get discouraged, do not drop out. Let’s take on these commies (remember we have maybe 5-6 in the Senate right now and yet we STILL win on the big issues, it only takes a dedicated few!).

Agreed.

It has been postulated that in ANY organization it only takes 20 people to lead the organization.

Can you name 20 Congressmen or women who can Lead the sorry US Federal Government back on the RIGHT track?

A good start would be to encourage your Rep. in the US House to dump Boehner as Speaker.

The problem is that millions of voters have been promised trillions of dollars of physician and hospital services with OPM, and the Members of Congress have neglected to collect one tenth of what the people have been promised.

So, a crackup is coming, and, among other things, a lot of people will die for want of services they’ve been promised.

All that’s going on now is that various Republicans and Democrats are maneuvering to cast the blame on somebody, anybody, but themselves.

As long as Obama is in a position to pull everything down if the GOP succeeds in defunding the PPACA, they won’t do it.

The GOP is caught in a web of unconstitutional legislation and deficit spending, which is at least as much their doing as the Democrats. Obama, or whoever is running him, recognizes their predicament and wants to use it to destroy them.

I feel sorry for them. Their only way out is to stand up for principles they don’t believe in. Sucks to be them.

Wrong focus.

The US Federal Government is in rebellion, open rebellion, against the States and the People that created it.

The issue is not WHO is in Congress. That is of (almost) no importance.

The issue is, can the States and the People put Congress back in the box We built for it in 1788?

"Shutting down the government is a really bad idea."

Please, the Texas legislature is in session every 2 years. Seems to work fine for them. Too bad our FF's couldn't foresee the harm of career politicians and their need to create a personal legacy every damn year by putting more liberty killing laws on the books. Sure term limits and reduced congressional sessions would have been the 11th Amendment if our Founders had a crystal ball.

Shut the broken machine down! BTW, notice the "sequester" hasn't done anything but reduce Fedgov employee paychecks? Good. There are too damn many of them and have increased exponentially under Obambi. Let half of them get a real job or starve. Just get out of my friggin life!

And no, I don't care if the Republicans get the blame - they always do for anything that doesn't go according to the socialist/communist plan. WOMEN, CHILDREN, and MINORITIES SUFFER! will always be the headline. The RINOS don't even bother to refute. I'm now an Independent.

"“Rome” anyone?. there are to many takers that vote to defeat."

And that is why I am now an Independent. If our Republic is going down, I will now vote my conscience rather than follow the gutless GOP. At least I can look at myself in the mirror and know that I tried as a Republican while following them to ruin, but now that face looking back at me can smile as I no longer follow RINO's.

A fellow Virginian who seems to get it. Pleased to meet you.

Yes, the Republic as we’ve come to know it looks to be on it’s last gasps. The Priest has been called, and undertaker has shown up with a measuring tape. But keep in mind that what is today is not necessarily what will be in the future.

Is there a solution? I think there is. And I think it’s to be found in autonomy. Personal, spiritual, moral, ethical, and political autonomy.

I would remind voters how the Democrats promised that Obamacare would save money, not cost money ....

Soviet ideologue Paul Krugman is pushing that lie again today in several newspapers that carry his slops.

The guy is even starting to look like the love child of Rasputin and Rosa Luxembourg.
